TechnoServe
“TechnoServe helps people lift themselves out of poverty by harnessing the power of the private sector. A leading nonprofit organization operating in almost 30 countries, TechnoServe works with hardworking women and men in the developing world to build competitive farms, businesses, and industries. By linking people to information, capital, and markets, the organization has helped millions to create lasting prosperity for their families and communities.”
In collaboration with the PCA, Nespresso and TechnoServe have co-developed a Vision for Regenerative Agriculture and Food Systems in the Northern Triangle of Central America that is included in PCA’s Strategic Plan. TechnoServe has engaged partners covering the most relevant sectors of the agricultural economy in the region to form the Alliance for Resilient Food Systems in Northern Central America. The Alliance brings together commitments from 15 regional and multinational companies to invest $30 million in the region to strengthen the resilience of farmers and MSMEs in their supply chains, especially in communities with a high propensity for irregular migration. At the end of the initiative, farmers and MSMEs in El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras will be more profitable and more resilient to climate change, market fluctuations, and other shocks.
